The Global Compact is the world’s largest sustainable development initiative, bringing together more than 9,500 companies in 165 countries.
The AXIAN Group is participating in the United Nations initiative to align its actions, projects, and business strategies with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
We are also proud to represent the UNGC Indian Ocean Local Network as an ambassador for the initiative in this region of the world.
Our involvement is strengthened through participation in several United Nations programs and events, in collaboration with private sector and nonprofit sector stakeholders, to enhance cooperation and the sharing of best practices among peers.
Within its corporate university, the AXIAN Group educates its workforce, young graduates, and future Pan-African talents to enable each individual to enhance the skills necessary for the current and future challenges in their markets.
In response to the continent’s ambitious development goals, AXIAN University develops innovative learning methods rooted in a Pan-African vision that is attentive to the changing world.
Three continuing education programs encompass both soft skills and hard skills: AXIAN Training Center, AXIAN Diploma, and AXIAN Executive Education. This hybrid catalog is continually enriched through international partnerships with certifying institutions in various cross-cutting fields (sales, energy, telecommunications, finance, digital, and more).
AXIAN University draws upon a pool of talents located in various geographies and possesses a unique blend of sectoral and cultural diversity to facilitate the sharing of expertise. This pedagogical approach positions AXIAN University as a national and African leader in the field of corporate universities.
The AXIAN Foundation carries out public interest initiatives that directly address local communities’ essential needs on behalf of all companies under the Group’s aegis. It supports governmental agencies in providing access to healthcare, education, basic healthcare infrastructure, and energy. A significant portion of the Group’s companies also collaborate with the Foundation to develop their own programs.
Launched in January 2021, the ACT – AXIAN Communities Team program allows employees of the AXIAN Group to become ‘ACTers’ by exercising skills-based volunteering during actions organized in the field by the AXIAN Foundation or partner organizations either in support of AXIAN subsidiaries’ corporate CSR programs or the Foundation’s proprietary projects.
The AXIAN Foundation’s objectives for 2023 are:
The H Foundation is a Malagasy private foundation that supports artistic creation from the African continent. It was established in Antananarivo in 2017 by Hassanein Hiridjee, CEO of the AXIAN Group, who believes in the positive impact of art and culture in fostering a critical openness to the world.
Recognized as a public utility foundation since 2018, the H Foundation opened its first exhibition space in Antananarivo, Madagascar, in 2019, followed by a second space in Paris, France, in 2020.
These two spaces aim to showcase emerging and established artists from the African continent and the diaspora through a program of temporary exhibitions and cosmopolitan events that promote cultural dialogue and community engagement.
As the first private foundation for contemporary art in Madagascar, the H Foundation has an exhibition space established in 2019 within a historic building in downtown Antananarivo. A new 2,200 square meter exhibition hall was inaugurated in 2023 to further enhance the visibility and influence of African artists.
An extension of the ambitions and philosophy embraced in Madagascar, the Parisian branch of the H Foundation is part of a select group of nonprofit artistic institutions dedicated to promoting the African art scene and diasporas in France.
